Build productive rooms, keep Coal stocked, claim Goals, research new tiers, arrange room synergies, prepare for inspections, then reinvest rewards into the next stage of the bloc.
Start with housing for Rubles and population, add Stairwells for movement, add Shared Bathrooms for comfort, then build Coal Chutes and Boiler Rooms before cold weather becomes a crisis.
Rubles pay for rooms, floors, repairs, coal, and operating costs. Research unlocks tiers and the Space Race. Coal heats the building. Prestige funds cultural power. Gold Rubles buy rare Curator items.
Some rooms produce bonuses when placed next to each other or in the same vertical column. Newly discovered synergies briefly glow red.
Residents follow daily routes: flats, food, work, social rooms, then home. Poor stairwell access creates bureaucracy bottlenecks and reduces production.
Winter raises heating pressure. If Coal runs out or boiler capacity falls behind, rooms can freeze and take damage. Use Info > Resources to buy Coal or enable the Coal Contract.
When you are unsure what to do next, open Info > Goals. Early Goals and population milestones are the clearest path to Rubles, Coal, Research, and momentum.
Research unlocks room tiers, advanced systems, prestige mechanics, and eventually the Space Race. Build toward Research once housing, heat, movement, and basic stability are working.
Local Raikom, State Obkom, and National Politburo visits reward stable planning. Open Info > Party to see timing, chances, and rewards. Prestige hospitality can improve important visits.
Each 5-minute Work Week changes resident behavior. Night Shift, seasons, inspections, weather, and Bureaucratic Anomalies keep the economy moving.
After Tier 4, excess Research can fund launches in Info > Research. Launches award medals and Gold Rubles. Win before the rival program completes its milestones.
After the Space Race, the Fallout Arc stress-tests your building. Stockpile resources, repair damage, protect heat, and keep residents stable through Incident, Fallout, and Recovery.
After Fallout Recovery, the bloc enters capitalism. Trust and Inequality become major pressures, old rooms retire from new construction, and Party inspections become Oligarch visits.
Check Goals for direction, Resources for shortages, Status for hidden pressure, Synergies for layout ideas, and Research for the next unlock. Slow the game down before fixing a crisis.
